I'm in this kind of business. American companies will eat margins, American consumers will pay more. The Chinese lose manufacturing business through migrating out to other 3rd world countries....they are not reshoring, so that's a myth. American retailers get clobbered American farmers get clobbered (Agriculture is one of the few things China finds attractive to buy from the US) as do the already living from paycheck to paycheck American consumers.
On top of that you've got two nihilistic leaders running the two largest economies on earth exchanging dick picks to prove who's bigger.
