Judge in Slager trial waiting to hear from jury which laws they need explained further
The judge in the trial of the North Charleston police officer charged in the death of a motorist is waiting for word from the jury about which laws they need explained further. This development came after the jury told the judge late Friday afternoon a "further explanation of the law" may help them reach a unanimous verdict. Slager is charged in the April 4, 2015 shooting death of Walter Scott.
