Is he saying Twitter supports Trumps viewpoint as well? Pai is is just plain lying.
Twitter is just a platform on the internet and not the internet. The guidelines of that platform, which is NOT the internet, have certain rules. They might be debatable, just like Facebook's or Google's rulesets have tonnes of flaws concerning privacy. You can choose to use it or not. You can begin your own platform, with your own rulesets in place. Thing is: a "provider" (the one who makes your connection possible) will be really tempted to bow to the big'uns and march right over your small platform. With various, but mostly financial, reasons. Power comes to mind also. Like with money, the focus of power goes to a small group. That makes it dangerous for regular folks. Something like this project could help with that.
