When being/feeling inferior, it's easier to make someone look ridiculous than to invest some intellect and creativity. And it aren't just companies who do that. I have encountered several people in my life who do just the same. Very sad attitude and lacks character, I think. Facebook (and those kind of people) can sod off.
It is a crappy attitude,but they won't change.
