This, in a word, "sucks." And, it's why I still buy DVDs, rip out the DRM, and save them to my video server. Then, I still own it even if the DVD get wrecked.
I can't upvote this enough. I hate the drm nonsense with a passion. All the books on my Kindle have the drm ripped off and it stays in airplane mode.

Yeah sure, and they know nobody reads the terms on almost anything, it's the reason they use a buy button instead of a license button too, they don't want people actually knowing it's a revocable license that the publishing company can take back from Amazon at any time and in turn Amazon can take from you at any time.
