'A sad day in the City of Savannah' Officer Anthony Christie killed in line of duty
A member of the Savannah Police Department and decorated war veteran was killed in the line of duty Friday, May 25. Officer Anthony Christie passed away after his patrol car was struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 16. As Chief of Police Mark Revenew said in a news conference Friday, Officer Christie died while serving his community.
