anywho, I still don't get how low oil prices mean Shell has really good profits for this year.

Sorry about the paywall. The official reason is this one. The real reason is greed. Prices have fallen very fast, most of the public doesn't know the commodity price of oil. Expect drops in the next couple of weeks.
