Beijing’s policy flops don't spell doom for China’s real economy - just investor expectations
The market rescue attempt in particular, while not hugely damaging to the real economy, has raised the question of whether the Xi Jinping administration is committed to economic reforms. Those concerns were compounded when some observers initially concluded a subsequent devaluation of the yuan against the dollar was a desperate measure to boost exports.
