Cedar Fair shutters three amusement parks as Hurricane Joaquin closes in; Cedar Point's open
The threat of high winds and torrential rain has prompted Sandusky-based Cedar Fair to close three of its 11 amusement parks Friday night. Citing concerns for the “safety of guests and employees,” Cedar Fair has opted to close Carowinds, located along the North and South Carolina borders, along with Dorney Park in Allentown, Pa. and Kings Dominion in Doswell, Va.
