Germany slaps contentious toll on autobahns
The German parliament has finally passed a much-contested toll on highways - a key demand of the government's conservative wing. But opposition from border states and neighboring countries could still block it.

The pricing seems fair really. Plus the locals will pay up to 140 euro but will see a reduction in car taxes.
This is my problem, here we have a system much like this and in order to open the account, you must put $30 on the pass, whether you will be here one day or forever and if you don't use the money in a certain time frame they take it for the general fund. I know toll booths are obnoxious, but I feel like they are necessary.
