Uber is Hiring Its First Female Drivers in Saudi Arabia Ahead of June Ban Lift
Last year, Saudi Arabia took a huge step towards increased female equality when it finally granted women the right to drive. Before September 2017, Saudi Arabia was the only country in the world which segregated the use of its roads based on sex. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ended all of that with a royal decree, and now the country is preparing for a host of changes to be implemented this June as women begin driving on Saudi streets.
