    Another strange aspect of the story is that early phase III clinical trials in India were “ab​orted” in 2002 for reasons the Indian Ministry of Health attributed to an undisclosed side effect, but no evidence of the purported side effect was ever reported by the doctors conducting the clinical trials in New Delhi.

    That's enough information for me to believe it needs more testing.
