How to use your smartphone less and be happier
Nine hours. That's how much time college students spend on their phones each day, according to a recent study published in the Journal of Behavioral Addictions. It's not entirely surprising. Whether you're waiting in line for coffee or out "watching" fireworks overhead, it seems like everyone has their phone out in some capacity. It's as if we prefer the confines of a pocketable screen with the world only in peripheral.

9 hours on my PC maybe, not my smartphone. If I have the option between the two or even between a laptop and a desktop PC and it's even moderately convenient I will pick the PC every time, though I appreciate the message. I think this article is exaggerating a little bit though.
If I'm out somewhere doing stuff I never use my phone unless absolutely necessary or if I have free time and I'm alone. If I'm in line waiting for something I wont use it. If I'm talking with someone I won't use it either... But let's say I make up for that lost "smartphone" time with gaming, hee hee.
