HBO and Paramount TV Developing Series Based on 'Shutter Island'
HBO and Paramount Television are coming together to developing the TV drama “Ashecliffe,” a origin tale based on Martin Scorsese’s crime thriller “Shutter Island.” Scorsese will direct the pilot with a script from Dennis Lehane, who penned the novel on which the 2010 pic was based. Scorsese, Lehane, Brad Fischer, Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Killoran Davisson, Kalogridis, Rick Yorn, Chris Donnelly, Laeta Koskoff and Phoenix’s Mike Medavoy and Arnie Messer will be exec producers.
