After sitting out smartphones, Intel will do anything to ride the wearable wave
When you buy a PC, there’s an excellent chance it will have an Intel processor inside. According to IDC, a market intelligence firm, Intel has a commanding 90 percent share of the notebook chip market. When you buy a smartphone, there’s an equally likely chance an ARM-based chip made by Qualcomm, MediaTek, or even Samsung will be powering it. Intel’s nowhere to be seen.
