Fed Leaves Interest Rates Unchanged
The Federal Reserve announced on Thursday, after a two-day meeting of its policy-making committee, that it would keep interest rates near zero as officials assess the impact of tighter financial conditions and slower global growth on the domestic economy. Janet L. Yellen, the Fed’s chairwoman, described the decision as a close call.
