Oh well... Hours-long standoff ends when officers realize suspects aren't home
A standoff that lasted more than 12 hours ended when Desert Hot Springs police and Riverside County sheriff's deputies realized the suspects they were looking for weren't at the home they surrounded. Officers responded at 10:55 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, to a home in the 66300 block of Sixth Street, believing that a suspect in an assault with a deadly weapon investigation was at the home.
