Why are millennials burned out? Capitalism.
“If Millennials are different, it’s not because we’re more or less evolved than our parents or grandparents, it’s because they’ve changed the world in ways that have produced people like us.” That’s how Malcolm Harris, an editor at the online magazine the New Inquiry, begins his book Kids These Days: Human Capital and the Making of Millennials. As a person who grew up in USSR, I should note: you have no fucking idea how people are burnt out in socialism, so stop whining.
You could be spinning your wheels like crazy, unable to jump higher than the bar, because of restrictive cap set on "wealth".
And you think the "wealth cap" will only apply to those rich cats? Well then think again, because in socialism it is applied to middle class. This means you, yes you. Because it USSR it applied to my pretty average family, to my parents and to my grandparents.
Selling cloth my grandma sewed herself on a market for a price she wanted? NO! It's illegal wealth, you capitalist skunk! Prices are government controlled and guaranteed to preserve equality!
Is this what you want?
The socialism you speak of is one extreme, and capitalism in the US is another. There is definitely a sweet spot. Canada and the nordic countries seem to be doing pretty well by mixing things up.
Socialism is extreme by the definition. Look it up in Wiki.
Canada and nordic countries are capitalist countries with strong welfare policies, and I totally agree that US should work towards implementing those policies at home.
Just stop making it capitalism vs socialism because it's just wrong, and makes those fighting for those better policies look dumb when they wave soviet flags and such other shit.
