Slayer’s drummer Dave Lombardo recruited by The Misfits for reunion dates
The Misfits have announced a new drummer for their forthcoming reunion shows – and it’s none other than Dave Lombardo, the former drummer of Slayer. He will be joining the punk rock group on stage in September, and play on their festival dates. The Misfits, whose original lineup is Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang, first split up in 1983, but bassist Only revived the name in 1995.. Lombardo and Glenn Danzig know each other since 1988, when Glenn’s band at the time, Danzig, played four shows with Slayer in the US.
