Capitals edge Golden Knights to win first Stanley Cup in franchise history

The Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup champions. Lars Eller scored the game-winning goal at the 12:23 mark of the third period as the Capitals edged the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 in Game 5 Thursday night to capture their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

    Alexander Ovechkin holding the Stanley Cup over his head is one of the greatest things I've ever seen to date. Made me tear up.
