We thought you might be interested in our Tiny House, on the Indonesian island of Bali. We built this over 15 months, inspired by the traditional design of the Balinese Rice Barn but upsized to live in, with two levels and a loft. The bathroom is indoor but on an open terrace with curtains for modesty if required. There is a kitchenette, lounge, bedroom upstairs and the loft for meditation and reading. The name The White Elephant came to us when building and we worried that was what we were building – ‘a white elephant’! But it turns out people love it and we love sharing it with friends and family. We could happily live in this space – there is plenty of room for indoor-outdoor living in the tropical climate.
