The author is putting a $60 million salary in context of over all business revenue rather than what the companies average employee makes. A CEO is ONE person who heavily relies on every.single.employee "beneath" them to create wealth. A better formula would be to increase everyone's wages out of the CEOs bonus. Seriously, how many lifetimes would it take for one person to spend $60 million, let alone receiving that comical amount per annum. Ridiculous amounts of money being made and horded by very few to the detriment of the many. Share the wealth and all of society will be better off. We seriously need to stop justifying these preposterously high wages while at the same time claiming the average worker is greedy for wanting mediocre raises.
