China-US tensions rise over man-made islands
In an international first, the Pentagon has declassified video of the Chinese Navy creating three man-made islands in contested waters in the Spratly archipelago. In a staggering engineering feat the world power has been dredging sand for the past two years to create land masses long enough to house a runway and early warning radar systems. CNN revealed images this week of what appears to be a military barracks on the islands built on the reef.
