10 years ago+5 5 0/t/Horror discussion: Clarification to Rule #3 ("Fictional horrors only")
Rule #3 was intended to keep this tribe free of gruesome crime scene imagery and brutal accounts of real life horror stories.
I realize now that the rule was poorly phrased, and that "Fictional horror only" bans a lot of fun horror-related topics:
- Crazy haunted attractions
- Personal anecdotes of horror-convention encounters
- Pictures of Snapzu members dressed as their favorite horror movie villains (more of this, please ;)
So I'm rewriting the rule to clarify that it's just for keeping real life crime type stuff out. You're welcome to post creepy cryptozoology articles, legends of local ghosts, or anything I mentioned above! just no gruesome real life war/crime/accident stuff.

10 years ago+4 4 0Should pictures of bloody faces -- no violence or gore, just a blood-splattered protagonist -- be tagged NSFW?
For a while I've had a rule that any article containing pictures of violence, gore, or blood be tagged NSFW.
The problem is, a lot of articles have a picture of a person with a blood-splattered face: some Final Girl standing heroically at the end of the film, that sort of thing. This shot from the AV Club article I just posted is a good example: http://i.imgur.com/mVlU9nm.jpg
AV Club isn't considered a "NSFW" site. But so far, I've continued to label articles like that as NSFW, which might be a bit overkill.
So I turn to you, Dear Readers, what should /t/Horror's stance on NSFW tags be?
Is a hero covered in blood considered NSFW?
Or should that tag be saved for pictures of violence, gore, that sort of stuff?
