I Can't Breathe! PSA: Publicly Filming Police = RAPE & MURDER CHARGES
We would not know about Eric Garner without citizens like Ramsey Orta filming it. The officer was not indicted but the guy videotaping it was indicted. Indicted at a rather speedy pace comparatively too. Folks filming police brutality end up getting arrested all too often. Some states even have laws referring to videotaping as illegal wiretapping. Sounds very unconstitutional and it arguably is but its still on the books as an eavesdropping law being used to put people behind bars.
