Cherimoya from seed

This is my "Fino de Jete" cherimoya, grown in a container since it germinated 5 years ago. Its actually a little bit stockier and wider this season - the picture is over a year old. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

How soon can you expect fruit?

Hopefully next March I can successfully pollinate a flower. It will grow on the tree all summer and fall, so at best I'll be eating my own cherimoya about 18 months from now.

I've read online that this fruit grows fairly true-to-seed. Many other fruit trees are not, and it isn't worthwhile growing out a seed or pip into a tree if you want good quality fruit. But only time will tell for this guy.
