I believe people have lost the meaning of "racist". I would agree that it isn't racist, but it is a phrase that carries not one, but two quite negative meanings to two different cultures. What I'm tired of is people trying to take a word or phrase that has a long history of a deeply negative meaning (not just connotation) and try to make it into positive. This includes changing a letter or two and then claiming it is a different word.

Why are you glad that someone wants to keep their restaurant with a name that refers to a serious illness?

I agree, but at the same time the name is offensive to a population of people because it refers to a serious illness that afflicted and killed people. I wouldn't say it is as offensive as the SJWs are making it out to be, but it certainly is a really distasteful and poor choice of name. I wouldn't want to be eating at a place that refers to liver damage...

I'm so sick of the race baiting. The situation had nothing to do with the color of the guy's skin until he made it about it. If it is the business' policy that the bathroom is for paying customers only then you must respect that. The same rule applies to the lobby. The lobby is for paying customers only. If you are not a paying customer you are therefore loitering, which would then justly involve the police. The officers did not use force and repeatedly asked the men to leave. If you refuse to leave when an officer justly asks you to you are now in contempt of the law. These fools were rightly arrested.

The article mentioned, but failed to answer the very basic and important question of - where do the funds originate from?

I firmly believe that social media is the largest culprit here, although the modern internet in general to be more accurate. It dramatically changed how people interact with people, regardless of distance. Before this shift people interacted with much fewer people because they had much fewer means of reliably communicating with them. Relationships were much more personal because it required physical proximity. This also meant that you had to be more careful in what you say to others because you had fewer bridges to burn.
With the modern internet one can create countless bridges with people they never would have interacted with had the technology not existed. Thus the loss of an individual relationship is not so impacting. With the rise of the Keyboard Warrior where the person can hide behind some anonymous or pseudo-anonymous identity they have become more brazen in how they interact with others. This naturally extends to other means of interactions, including public transit.

It's possible, but the issue is the article doesn't mention how they implemented the encryption. Without concrete information like that there is no way to know how secure it really is.

No, the OS has nothing to do with it. DNS is handled by a DNS client, which is run as a service. To use a particular feature you simply have to connect to a server that supports it. In the case of DNSCrypt you use a different DNS client and configure what DNSCrypt server you want to connect to within it. Then you point your normal DNS client's DNS IP to your the IP of the DNSCrypt client. https://lifehacker.com/how-to-boost-your-internet-security-with-dnscrypt-510386189
