'The End of the F---ing World' Is the Best Dark Comedy on Netflix
If Wes Anderson had an evil twin brother who was more interested in disemboweling animals than arranging whimsical set pieces, he might have made The End of the F---ing World. This eight episode UK series, currently streaming on Netflix, uses some of the tricks of Anderson-esque comedies—quirky characters deadpanning dialogue, colorful shots, a pop-heavy soundtrack—in a show that underlines the dark in dark comedy.
