9 years ago+1 1 0New tribe: /t/queen (plus a belated introduction)
I probably went about this in an order that was all wrong: I registered, created a tribe, posted a feature request, and now introduce myself! Ah well, better late than never.
I'm Teakay, though that was not my reddit username. Rather than abandoning reddit at the current moment, I'm merely adding to my list of frequently-visited websites. The reddit fiasco hasn't really affected me because I tend to stay in the smaller communities, but it was time to add some diversity to me entertainment, news, and discussion sources.
I decided to create a tribe for my favorite band, Queen, because I didn't know if such a small subreddit would find its way over to Snapzu. If you're a fan of Queen and Freddie Mercury or just want to discover some music you haven't heard, feel free to check /t/queen out!
To everyone that was here before today: thanks for putting up with the influx of new people and welcoming us with open arms. Not everyone would be so open to having their home invaded, though I hope we're integrating ourselves instead of taking over.

9 years ago+2 2 0Subscription limit and comment history
I mentioned this is another discussion earlier, but I thought I'd create my own discussion for this specific topic.
I'm one of the many redditors (and I do mean many, judging by the invite code thread!) that have decided to give Snapzu a shot. I really like the organization of the site and the potential that it has, and I hope we end up being a good influence on the site.
My main complaint so far is about the subscription limit. I'm sure there's a good reason to have this in place, I probably just don't see it yet. However, if the intention of the site is to promote activity, I see this having the opposite effect. With the smaller userbase and less clutter, the official tribes look more interesting than many of the equivalent subreddits, and I would like to subscribe to many of them. In addition, I would also like to subscribe to the emerging tribes that many of the new members are bringing over from reddit, even if they're only just emerging and may not have any snaps yet. I want these tribes to succeed and I want to be active in them, but the subscription limit means I can't subscribe to them all.
Something else I feel is missing (or more likely, something else that exists but I can't seem to find) is a place to check my comment history. I fear that as I comment more, my older comments will be more and more difficult to find in my notifications.
I want to restate that I'm enjoying this site and don't want to turn it into a clone of reddit, but I also believe unlimited subscriptions and an easily-accessible comment history would be helpful to all users, not just those of us that are familiar with reddit. I'm interested in hearing other ideas about this and, if there's an important reason for the subscription limit, helping me understand it. Thanks for welcoming the flood of new names and the occasional hug of death with open arms!

9 years ago+1 2 1Queen - Love Kills - the ballad
Queen released a reworked ballad version of Freddie Mercury's "Love Kills" on their 2014 album "Queen Forever." I fell in love with the song and have been playing it on repeat for the last few days, so I wanted to share it.
