Radical groups like ISIL and these far-right parties seem to have quite a lot in common.

Extremism can lead to incitement and to violence. Extremism is in many cases reactive, desperate and very dangerous.

A key difference being that far-right parties are being voted in to protect the homeland - something people feel the current governments are failing to do and with good reason.

"We have to take this phenomenon in Europe very seriously," she said. "More and more xenophobia and prejudices and a growing distance between young voters and politicians constitute dangers for democracy and for an open-minded, liberal society."

The oligarchs are waking up to the discontent. Immigration is just one more irritant, not the only one. They try to mask that discontent as not of their own making calling it words like xenophobia and prejudices. Could it not possibly be that they feel betrayed by their leaders?

I'm not surprised. Europe is going to become far more dangerous now. Immigration is not the problem it's unchecked immigration of folk whose values are too far removed from our own. Also, Political Correctness has destroyed any free-thinking on the matter
