Report: Hulu may be getting rid of next-day streaming
The one advantage Hulu has over the majority of its streaming competitors is the offer of next-day streaming for certain programming. That may be going away, however, according to a new report out of the Wall Street Journal. What reason would anyone have to pay the price for Hulu Plus if they don't offer aired episodes, I'd just run to Netflix or more likely Amazon Prime instead. Not to mention, this move just increases piracy, even if the new "No Child" replacement law has tons of anti-piracy education in it or as they call it, the harms of copyright piracy .
I hope this does not happen.
They are trying to stem the tide of cord-cutters across America. But taking this next-day-delivery service away is not going to help, as torrent sites will continue to offer same-day downloading of those shows.
These media moguls need to understand what they are competing against.
