The fact that this "deal" gives away our national sovereignty to huge multinational corporations should be reason alone for congress to reject this outright. Never thought I'd be banking on the "party of NO!" to be our saviors from a terrible treaty that will only hurt normal Americans, but the fact that this would be another Obama Legacy may be what we need to turn congressional opinion against the TPP.
I really don't understand how trade deals work. What is the process to get these passed? Does congress vote on it after they agree on a deal? Why is it allowed to be secret when it affects everyone? Is anything being done to stop it? Can we even do anything?
