15 officers hurt in Baltimore violence; state of emergency declared
The governor of Maryland has declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard to help with the violence and rioting in Baltimore. Gov. Larry Hogan signed the order Monday night at the request of the city. Cars and at least one store have been set on fire during a riot. Businesses are being looted in part of the city. Police say at least 15 officers have been injured in a violent clash with a large group of youths. Most were hurt by flying debris.
