Yahoo shows off password-free logins and new encrypted email technology
Passwords are terrible: they're inefficient and they're often insecure, too. Many leading tech companies have embraced two-factor authentication as a more secure option, but they're optional and only those particularly concerned about their digital identities take the time to set it up. That's why Yahoo is taking a new approach, called "on demand" passwords.

What happens if you lose your phone or have it stolen?
If it's stolen (or lost), someone could get complete access to your email. It doesn't sound much more secure than passwords.
I see nothing wrong with passwords. They do the job if you're not a complete idiot.
yeah. and if you cant remember them, there's always password managers.
Let's be real.. most yahoo users aren't that tech savvy ;)
I use Yahoo Mail for some reason. I guess I'm in the minority. . .
So do I... I've opened my account back in the mid to late 90's.
