Fuck everyone who tries to score political points using a 9 year old's death. This isn't a game that we're keeping score on. It's a problem that all sides have to work together on if we want a solution.

This reminds me of a post on Reddit about a guy talking about how he was born, raised, and now trapped in Ferguson. Property has no value there, so people who aren't super financially well off cannot leave. I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a normal person trapped in a place where you have to fear for your life, even worse for it to be a place you once considered safe.

So so sad, and senseless. I've lived in neighborhoods where that is a real concern; sitting on your sofa and a random bullet gets you...utterly disgusting.

I like how everyone in the comment thread on the article is suggesting buying guns and sabotaging them, and reselling them. The rational of that whole comment thread is just absurd. It's a tragedy that people actually have to live like this, I'd like to see the welfare/foodstamp income rate for Ferguson compared to actual workers who don't receive social benefits. I think it's time some of our social services saw some reform where people can't actually live like this and actually need to have jobs in order to receive benefits so they don't have so much time to ride around and shoot bullets at houses.
