I tried, but either I'm missing something or that part isn't editable. Under "What are you publishing?" in the Snap Configuration panel, there's just a greyed out "Unspecified" that I can't click on.
Hmm... That seems to be one of the few things you cannot edit. Weird, sorry I suggested that you could. I had never tried that before. What I can tell you is that it is unlikely anyone here will be upset that you didn't have one selected. It is just one of the many way this site has to index content.
Whew, thought I was just being dense for a second! I suppose there's probably a reason for it to be uneditable. Perhaps that's something to bring up in /t/ideasforsnapzu? I could see a rather simple solution: Draw more attention to the specification option when posting a snap, or require it.
I have not spent much time in that tribe, so I'm not sure if it has been proposed. I should probably go check it out. I do however think it is a good idea for it to prompt for a category. I think they might leave the option of no category, just in case you do not think your snap fits any of the default options.
Exactly what I was thinking. No reason not to have an unspecified option, just might be a good idea to make it so you have to choose it.
