Vancouver’s street pianos could be muted in 2015
Organizers of Vancouver’s beloved public piano program may have to turn down the volume on the free concerts this summer unless they can raise $20,000 by Canada Day. Keys to the Streets, a student-led initiative that began in 2013 by placing pianos for anyone to play in spaces around the city in July and August, only has enough cash thus far to place three pianos, down from 10 locations last year.
