I'd guess, it's less of a Sony's accomplishment and more of a Microsoft's failure. I still remember XBox One launch, where they talked so much about TV and Madden, it was entirely American targeted. Then the launch was delayed in many European countries too. And let's not forget Games for Windows - that stupid thing doesn't even work in all EU countries.

Yeah, I guess so too. Xbox One sales over in Japan are even more dismal.

Not to forget all Microsoft's anti-used game policies they wanted to implement. Granted Sony was rumored to be doing the same but backed down when Microsoft got skewered.

But then, no backwards compatibility in PS4 is going to hurt. Sony dodged a bullet with the used games fiasco last year, but seem to have presented a rather dismal showing this year. Yes I am a Xbox owner, I converted from PS2 to 360 as the PS3 didn't have the games that I wanted to play. I too was annoyed when I heard about the used game limitations because as an Achievement Farmer, I hunt bargain bins for older games with easy achievements. When they recanted soon after I was happy, but still not convinced about buying a Xbox One straight away. Now with backwards compatibility, I'm sold.

For the record, I'm only really interested in PS4 for the next instalment of The Last of Us which is rumoured to be in development. I'll probably just borrow my brothers PS4 to play that.
