Microsoft is still driving some Windows 7 users crazy with nagging ads to upgrade
If you're running Windows 7 on a machine capable of using Windows 10, chances are you getting swamped with ads from Microsoft telling you to upgrade. Last month, Microsoft said it accidentally tried to make Windows 7 and 8 machines automatically upgrade to Windows 10 and said it fixed its mistake. Windows has pretty much announced forced upgrades, or at least they're trying to make it hard to stop it. Beginning this year the Windows 10 Update will become an optional update to all, so people who allow all updates will get upgraded. Beginning next year Windows 10 will become a recommended update, and windows update defaults to auto installs on recommended updates. So most will end up on it.
