Of all the predictions Science Fiction writers made of what the first moon landing would be like no one ever predicted that people would be sitting at home watching the event live.
I always think of my grandparents when this anniversary comes up and all the changes they saw during their lives. They were born in the 1890s and went from the horse and buggy days to watching men walk on the moon in their living room. It is just remarkable what mankind can accomplish when we put our minds to it.
I remember staying up all night to watch this live.
