California Democrats legalize child prostitution
Beginning on Jan. 1, prostitution by minors will be legal in California. Yes, you read that right. SB 1322 bars law enforcement from arresting sex workers who are under the age of 18 for soliciting or engaging in prostitution, or loitering with the intent to do so. So teenage girls (and boys) in California will soon be free to have sex in exchange for money without fear of arrest or prosecution.

This article is horseshit, the source is trash, there's no such thing as a child prostitute, and while this author would like you to believe Democrats are pimping children, this legislation is about taking victim-witnesses of child sex trafficking into custody rather than prosecuting them.
The new law simply redefines prostitutes under 18 as "victims".

How did you get the idea sb 1322 legalizes prostitution for minors. It is trying to get help for these people. It does not give a pass to pimps and doesn't lessen any punishment for engaging in activity
He's a chronic troll. 1322 protects minors from sex slavery. Johns, prostitutes over 18 and pimps are still criminals. Ignore him. And not just on this issue.

True. After reading the comments I dived back into it and it still, somehow, sound shocking, but it is actually a good move to protect people. The way it's written was kinda off the time reading it (just that hunch), because somehow it's not written "like an analyst or good journalist would write". Now I know. :-)
I'm glad to've seen it. Worth knowing what's passing for policy debate in Trumpelstilskin's circles. Apparently it's still Pizzagate all day, every day. Thanks, it makes a nice change from New McCarthyism every once in a while.
Here in Belgium it's the exact same shit. And I predict you some real bad austerity and here the politicians constantly say things in terms like "wait until you see the next round of cuts". Smile wide on camera. This is a very concerning and true matter, I think, because little by little Belgium is changing into a regime of some sorts.
