Ah, the Daily Star: an English language newsletter originally meant for oil industry employees and now pumped in viscous form into Anglosphere countries as if it were somehow local coverage.

Blinkered, willfully-ignorant reporting like this, of which we've come to expect ladle after steaming ladle at Snapzu, fails most in that by sensationalizing and surgically removing from context one apparent atrocity after another, it tacitly ignores atrocities and contexts that do not flatter their conceits.

It's one thing to frame events in terms your intended audience will understand, and quite another to pretend Sen. John McCain's Congressional foreign policy is self-consistent and sound.

Ask yourself, when exactly was it the U.S. entered the War on Terror on the side of Al Qaeda? Garbage reporting like this isn't going to get around to it. So take your time on working out that answer. Meanwhile, we can await our next regularly-scheduled mindless propaganda piece.
