Discussion on Women and the Battle of Gettysburg
Former Gettysburg park ranger Jared Frederick talked about the different accounts of women and their families during the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863, and the role of women at the Battle, particularly their work in field hospitals. He spoke about how the residents of the town, mainly women and children, were affected and shaped by the battle.
