The 'Frozen' Effect: "Elsa" Re-enters list of 500 most popular baby names after 97 Years
Seems that a lot of new parents are fans of Frozen. The girls' name "Elsa" is listed as the 286th most popular name in the United States for the first time in over 97 years (since 1917), and it's no surprise that the insanely popular Disney film probably has something to do with it. The data was released by the Social Security Administration, and showed that 1,131 girls were named Elsa in 2014, up from 528 the year before.
