Quite a lot of basic social science deals with the idea - but they are at times too nice about it.
But I'm guardedly optimistic. If baboons can deal with their assholes - we probably can too.

Saw the program on Sapolsky's baboons some years ago. It was quite good. And yes,something definitely needs to be done about assholes.
I'm making a point of not voting for alpha baboons!
