Wearing your shoes inside the house? This is the scientific reason why you shouldn't
In some cultures, in which the Japanese one is the most prominent, wearing shoes inside the house is heavily frowned upon. Furthermore, I think wearing shoes inside is also a sign of not feeling completely at home and I prefer walking barefoot, but anyway. Now there is scientific evidence that this practice of removing shoes may even more preferable.

In most of Asia you leave your shoes off at the door. In our house, we have house shoes or slippers that are only worn inside and are never worn outside. Outside shoes are left by the door.
