Indeed, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, who helped out with legal fees, should get a few kudos too. The reason most these cases are settled out of court instead of being challenged as the abuses of Fair Use laws that they are is the promise of long, expensive trials. And the reason they are so vigorously pursued by copyright holders is to avoid rulings like this one, that acknowledge that Fair Use laws are not meant to be a weapon, they're meant to protect reasonable use from unreasonable, trolling copyright claims.
Man, it just goes to show, you're never too short to be a big bully.
