These are pretty, but does this belong in /t/wallpapers? As far as I can tell, there's no legal way to download the photo in wallpaper size, or even a wallpaper size in the first place.
Your are correct it's no traditional screen resolution but it should be pretty easy to set an image with any size as your wallpaper. Obviously it has to have a minimum resolution for that.
Anyway, i just took over this tribe so i am open for suggestions. Do you think we should limit images to traditional screen sized images? My fear is that we would miss a lot of beautiful images like this one.
Yes, I think we should limit resolutions to screen-sized images. Simply because, well, that's what makes for the best wallpapers. We have /t/pics, /t/earthporn, and other tribes to post pretty pictures in. /t/wallpapers should be exclusively for wallpaper-sized images.

On the other hand, all modern Operating System allow normal images being cropped so they fit as a wallpaper, as long as the base resolution is high enough. Maybe a solution like "Non standard resolutions are ok if the minimum resolution is .... would work.
Just because it's already been stolen on other websites, that doesn't justify replicating it further.
I don't know if it is of any interest to you, so I'll go ahead and tell me if you're not into philosophy, but Kant's autonomy says exactly that. You are only responsible for your actions, and not those of others, but in turn, other's actions do not alleviate your own actions. If a thousand people stole a photo, It'a a thousand times the same crime, not one crime and 900 lesser crimes. :)

The reminds me of the scene in monsters incorporated when mike and sully get banished to the Himalayas. A very beautiful picture indeed though!
