I'm Canadian, so we don't have Comcast, but we do have Shaw. They were so awful to when I first moved out and got my own place, unhelpful and constantly placing charges that I'd have to phone and reverse and then when I switched to a smaller provider (Deveca) they double-fucked me by causing all sorts of problems with the contractor who came to set me up. Later at a different residence, they went and screwed up the actual cable (cut something they shouldn't have) and then didn't send anyone to fix it for weeks, never admitting that they did wrong.

So it's with great delight that I refuse to ever purchase cable again from them. My landlord uses Shaw for internet, so I'm unfortunately complicit in supporting their internet business, but when I go to my own place, I'll jump through as many hoops as necessary to avoid doing business with Shaw. And I don't think I'll ever pay for cable television again - between Netflix and other streaming services in Canada, I'm more than happy with the entertainment available to me, and Netflix Canada is really good.

Thanks, Comcast! (I'll take "Words I Never Thought I Would Say" for $200, Alex)

Cohen actually admitted that Netflix actually is hurting Comcast — specifically, he called it a “wound.” He also admitted that it’s Comcast’s own fault, in part, that Netflix has grown to become the powerhouse it is today.

I guess Comcast is a bit like Joe Chill. I can't condone him killing Bruce Wayne's parents, but I have to admit, it helped jumpstart the whole "Batman" thing.
