Trump's Chicago rally called off for safety reasons amid chaos
U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump canceled a rally scheduled for Friday night in Chicago after the event turned into a chaotic scene with thousands of attendees split into opposing camps of supporters of the Republican front-runner and protesters inflamed by his candidacy.

I would think DT called off the rally because he did not want to be drowned out and booed off stage. There appears to have been far more anti-Trump people there.
A protest would have been fine but watching it on CNN when these people were fighting the police and screaming FTP "Fuck the Police" on camera, the whole idea it was about dumping Trump almost seemed to go out the window. Nobody came out of this looking good.
Protests need to be well organized and not disruptive, free speech says that Donald paid for the venue and had a right to speak, it also said that if they had started picketing outside the event they had every right to say stuff against him, what ended up happening shouldn't be applauded. Running into the road and blocking traffic over five lanes should be punished, this was a horrible sight and nobody should be proud of what these people did.
